A foreign citizen who is on the federal wanted list for committing a crime in the field of computer information has been detained at the Kazan International Airport. The suspect, born in 1988, was identified during border control on the Ferghana-Kazan flight.
The detainee is accused of creating, using and distributing malicious computer programs, which is provided for in part 3 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. After his arrest, he was handed over to the police for further investigation.
Since the beginning of 2024, the border services of Kazan airport have identified 29 persons who are on the federal, interstate or international wanted list, emphasizing the effectiveness of control measures at this key transport hub.
